Durham leads Middle Tennessee in Hawaii

KANE'OHE, O'ahu - Senior Taryn Durham led Middle Tennessee with an eight-over 80 in the final round of the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational and finished the event tied for 24th with a 21-over 237 for the three-day tournament at Kane'ohe Klipper Golf Course.

Middle Tennessee finished 13th as a team with a three-day total 972 against a strong field. Oklahoma State captured the team title with an impressive 16-over 880 to easily outdistance Arizona (893) and Arizona State (897).

Durham was steady throughout the tournament, opening with a 77 and following with consecutive rounds of 80 to close the event. Fellow senior Jamey Dillard turned in a 241 and finished tied for 41st in another impressive showing for her at the start of the spring season.

Leigh Wilkins (64th, 246), Clara Leathers (72nd, 249) and Mallory Bishop (75th, 251) followed Durham and Dillard in the scoring column.
