Relay, Nambawa lead track at Sea Ray Relays
Foursome of Benavides, Chemaoi, Songock and Emery win 4x1500-meter relay

The men's 4x1500-meter relay of sophomore Philip Benavides, freshman Festus Chemaoi, sophomore William Songock and freshman David Emery won the event on Friday in 16:23.42. Chemaoi, freshman Isaac Biwott, Songock and Emery finished eighth in the distance medley relay on Saturday in 10:32.47.
Nambawa tied for fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 41-7.25.
Senior Marjorie Gombert, freshman Marla Bailey, sophomore Zamzam Sangau and junior Tiffany Sawyer placed fifth in the 4x1500-meter relay on the women's side in 20:16.78. The women's distance medley relay of Sangau, Nambawa, Bailey and Gombert was eighth in 12:44.24.
In the men's relay, sophomore DeRay Sloss, senior Carlos Morgan, junior Carl Morgan and junior Samuel Adade placed sixth in the 4x100-meter relay in 41.30.
Carl Morgan finished seventh in the long jump with a mark of 24-9.75.
Friday's events were shortened because of rain and Saturday's participants battled cooler temperatures and winds at Tom Black Track.
