PAIR OF BLUE RAIDERS OUT OF PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL: Former Blue Raiders Jason Moates and Troy Harp have both decided to call it quits in professional baseball. Moates played four seasons in the Detroit Tigers organization and was 0-4 with a 3.33 ERA in 20 games this season before hernia surgery in the last two weeks. Moates would have missed the rest of the season and decided to retire. Harp was drafted in the 22nd round this year by the Atlanta Braves and started the summer in Danville, Va., before being sent down to Florida.

NIEMEYER IN THIS WEEK'S ATP EVENT: Former Blue Raider Fred Niemeyer is participating in this week's ATP Tour event, the Tennis Masters Canada in Toronto. Niemeyer is a member of Canada's Davis Cup team and will represent his country at the Olympics in Athens next month.
