MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee's women's basketball team will hold its end-of-the-year brunch this Sunday, April 27, from 11:45 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on the main arena floor at Murphy Center.
The Blue Raiders finished the 2007-08 season 22-12 overall, reaching the final of the Sun Belt Tournament for the sixth straight season. The squad played in the postseason for the fifth straight year, defeating Western Carolina in the WNIT before falling in overtime to Kentucky.
Senior Amber Holt led the nation in scoring and was selected in the first round of the WNBA Draft. Middle Tennessee ranked in the Top 30 nationally in attendance for the second straight season and had two of the three largest single-game crowds in school-history, including 7,858 for an upset of No. 8 LSU in December and 6,968 for a victory over Western Kentucky on "Think Pink" Day.
