Blue Raiders Prepare for Nine Games in 10 Days
Optimist Little League and Senior Day this weekend
April 30, 2008 · MT Media RelationsThe Blue Raiders will play host to their final home conference series to begin a 10-day stretch playing nine games.
The Blue Raiders begin the run on Friday, May 2 at 6 p.m. against Troy University. Saturday's game with the Trojans is set for 4 p.m. as Middle Tennessee plays host to Optimist Little League Day.
On Sunday, the Blue Raiders will honor their five seniors in a pre-game ceremony before the final game of the series at 1 p.m.
Middle Tennessee will hit the road for the remaining six games of its nine game run beginning with Austin Peay on Monday. The Blue Raiders will be in Clarksville, Tenn., at 4:30 May 5 to face the Governors in a game rescheduled from March due to inclement weather.
The Blue Raiders then travel to Winchester, Tenn., to play host to Mississippi State in a two-game series on May 6 and 7. Both games are set for 6 p.m. at Gamble Sports Complex. Tickets for the Mississippi State series are $10.
Middle Tennessee is holding a meet-and-greet for alumni and guests before the game on Tuesday, May 6. The meet-and-greet will begin at 4:30 p.m. with Middle Tennessee's women's and men's basketball coaches Rick Insell and Kermit Davis on hand to visit with alumni and community members before the game.
The Blue Raiders will make a dash to the finish with Thursday off to travel to Springfield, Mo., before facing Missouri State in a three-game series May 9-11.

Middle Tennessee will end the 2008 regular season at Western Kentucky on Thursday, May 15 through Saturday May 17.
