Amber Holt (Women's Basketball)
Senior Amber Holt led the nation in scoring with 27.4 points per game, helping the Blue Raiders to 22 victories. She was named First Team All-American by CBSSports.com and Third Team All-American by the Associated press after ranking in the Top 100 nationally in rebounding, steals, field goal percentage and assist-to-turnover ratio. She finished the season with 930 points, the fifth most all-time for a single-season in NCAA history, and broke a 21-year-old school record for points in a game with 44 at Louisiana-Monroe in January. The Duluth, Ga., native was selected ninth overall in the WNBA Draft by the Connecticut Sun.

Desmond Yates (Men's Basketball)
Yates was a First-Team All-Sun Belt Conference selection after leading the team in scoring at 16.0 points per game.  His 860 career points places him on track to become the school's all-time leading scorer.  Yates contributed to the team's strong finish, as it reached the Sun Belt Championship game for the second time since joining the Sun Belt.

Rick Cochran and Chas Narramore (Men's Golf)
Cochran and Narramore each were named All-SBC after leading Middle Tennessee to a school record five tournament wins in 2007-08. They also helped the team reach the NCAA Regional for just the second time and the NCAA National Championships for the first time.

Taryn Durham (Women's Golf)
Capped her career as Middle Tennessee's greatest women's golfer ever. Named to the All-Sun Belt team four times. Became first Blue Raider female golfer to play in the Women's US Open in 2007. Holds record for career wins at Middle Tennessee (6).

Rawley Bishop (Baseball)
Bishop received First Team All-Conference honors and ended the season tied for first on the team in home runs with 18.  His 67 RBIs this past season was the third-most all-time at Middle Tennessee. He also led the team in doubles (19), slugging percentage (.700) and was second in batting average (.372).

Holly Grogan (Soccer)
Grogan became Middle Tennessee's all-time leader in points (102) and goals (38) and finished second all-time in assists (26) after a brilliant four-year career. She also holds the all-time record for game-winning goals (13). She was named to the All-SBC team three times in her career.

Tavares Jones (Football)
Jones started all 12 games in 2007 and was voted first team All-Sun Belt by the league's coaches and media.  He also earned first team honors from Phil Steele Magazine and Rivals.com.  Jones led the Blue Raiders in tackles with a career-best 61 and graduated in May 2008.

Ashley Asberry (Volleyball)
Asberry received First Team All-Sun Belt honors  and was named Second Team CVU.com Stellar Spikers. She led the team in solo blocks (12), block assists (179) and total blocks (191) in 2007.  Asberry recorded 379 kills (second on the squad) and was named Honorable Mention All-American by the AVCA.

Ashley Cline (Softball)
In just two seasons at Middle Tennessee, the Gallatin High School product ranked in the top 10 for career runs scored, triples and stolen bases. She has also made her mark single-season lists for batting average, runs scored, stolen bases, triples and defensive assists.  Cline earned a 3.15 GPA during the 2007-08 academic year.

Joao Paoliello (Men's Tennis)
Paoliello ended the season with a 19-12 overall record and was 10-7 in dual matches, helping to guide a young Blue Raider team in 2008 that had just two upperclassmen.  We went undefeated in conference play with a 3-0 record and was a perfect 5-0 in the No. 6 position.

Marlene Chemin and Ann-Kristin Siljestrom (Women's Tennis)
Both performed well for the Blue Raiders in 2008, winning six of their first seven doubles matches to begin the season.  The pair went 7-5 overall and 6-1 in tournament action.

Zamzam Sangau (Women's Track/Cross Country)
Zamzam Sangau produced one of the best overall seasons in school history in 2007-08, earning All-Sun Belt accolades in nine events and breaking six school records. She finished in the Top 20 in all seven cross country meets, earning medalist honors in one event. The sophomore placed third at the SBC meet and placed 19th at the NCAA South Regional, garnering All-Region accolades. She broke four school records indoors, won the mile run and placed second in the 800-meters and third in the 5000-meters. She set two other school records outdoors, won the 1500-meters and finished second in both the 800 and 5000 as well. She was also the Top Meet Scorer at the SBC Championships with 26 points.

Sarah Nambawa (Women's Track and Field)
Sarah Nambawa posted one of the best all-around campaigns for a Middle Tennessee jumper in recent history, garnering All-Sun Belt honors in five events and earning Sun Belt Most Outstanding Field Performer accolades at the indoor and outdoor championships. She won the triple jump with a school-record mark, finished second in the long jump and was a member of the second-place mile relay team indoors. Nambawa won the triple jump outdoors, as well, setting a school-record in the process, and placed second in the long jump with the third-best mark in school history.

Festus Chemaoi (Men's Track/Cross Country)
Festus Chemaoi enjoyed a banner initial campaign for the Blue Raiders, earning Freshman of the Year accolades indoors and outdoors and just missing an All-Sun Belt honor in cross country. He won a pair of medalist honors in cross country and if not for a faulty shoe, would have placed in the Top 10 at the SBC XC Championships (he finished 11th overall). Chemaoi won the mile run and finished third in the 3000-meters indoors before winning the steeplechase and placing third in the 1500-meters outdoors.

Carl Morgan (Men's Track and Field)
After an injury-plagued 2006-07 season, junior Carl Morgan garnered Sun Belt Most Outstanding Field Performer accolades with his performances at the indoor and outdoor championships. He won the long jump and triple jump indoors, setting personal-bests in both events. Morgan won the triple jump outdoors and finished second in the long jump and was also a member of the second-place 4x100-meter relay.
