MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Seat selection in the new Middle Tennessee baseball stadium at Reese Smith Field will begin on Monday, Aug. 4 for those who contributed to the capital campaign to help finance the new facility.
Selection will begin with capital donors, who donated $10,000 or more on Monday and then move to Blue Raider Athletic Association members on Tuesday, Aug. 5. After BRAA members who donated select their seats other donors will round out the process on Thursday, Aug. 7 and Friday, Aug. 8.
"It's a culmination of a lot of hard work by a lot of people. Having dealt with people during the seat selection they are very excited," head coach Steve Peterson said. "The athletic department has done a great job of selling it and allowing us to build it."
Selection will begin each day at 11 a.m. with six donors per hour and end at 5 p.m.
There are only 150 chairback seats remaining in the new stadium so anyone who is interested in purchasing seats should contact Roy Mewbourne at 615-898- 5785.
"We are running out of seats so if there is anyone out there who has been waiting until the end there is a limited number remaining. Now is the time they need to call Roy Mewbourne and purchase their seats. The next step is to play ball so let's get your name on the back of a seat and leave a legacy," Peterson said.
