MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Middle Tennessee women's golf shot a first round 310 and is in eighth place after 18 holes at the Unlimited Potential/Baytree Tournament in the 17- team event. In the par 72 course, the Lady Raiders are paced by freshman Taryn Durham who fired a 74 and is tied for sixth place. After shooting a 35 in the first nine holes, Durham struggled slightly with the back nine to carry a 39 in the final nine.
Maggie McGill is the only other Lady Raider in the top-20 after day one. She shot a 75 and is tied for 12th place.
Middle Tennessee will tee-off Saturday morning for second round action of the 72-hole event.
