Two Lady Raiders Win in Final Day of Furman Tourney

GREENVILLE, S.C. - Middle Tennessee women's tennis picked up wins at Flight One and Flight Two singles to close out action at the Furman Fall Classic Sunday.

Senior Jennifer Klaschka, ranked 63rd in the ITA, ended her three-match losing streak with her three-set victory in Flight One. Klaschka defeated Furman's Mary Neill Hagood, ranked 79th, 6-3, 4-6, 6-0 to place seventh.

Fellow senior Ana Maria Cibils won 6-4, 7-5 in Flight Two singles for sevnth place. She defeated Furman's Shannon Moore 6-4, 7-5.

Middle Tennessee travels to Lexington, Kentucky to participate in the Kentucky Fall Invitational October 1-3. Klaschka will not travel with the team, as she is scheduled to compete in the Riviera ITA All-American Championships in Pacific Palisades, California beginning October 5.
