Allan-Schledorn Eliminated from All-American

October 8, 2004 · MT Media Relations
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee's Brandon Allan and Kai Schledorn lost another close match Friday in the consolation bracket of the Icy Hot/ITA All-American Championships in Chattanooga, Tenn., eliminating the 19th-ranked duo from the first collegiate grand slam event of the year.

Allan and Schledorn moved forward in the backdraw with a walkover win early Friday before facing Boise State's Thomas Schoeck and Luke Sheilds. Allan and Schledorn played well but came up just a little short, falling 9-7 at the Champions Club.

"It was another tough defeat, and it's disappointing because the guys played so well," Blue Raider head coach Dale Short said. "They played exceptionally well except for three or four points in the match, and those were the big points."

The Blue Raiders play again next weekend at the ITA Region III National Indoor Qualifying in Memphis, Tenn. Full results from the All-American Championships may be accessed at itatennis.com.
