MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee volleyball program will play host to the Blue Raider Bash on Friday, Sept. 5 and Saturday, Sept. 6.
The Blue Raiders will begin the tournament by playing Lipscomb at noon on Friday. Then at 7:30 p.m. will face Iowa State in its second match of the tournament.
Iowa State began the season ranked in the preseason poll but after going 2-1 in the first weekend of play dropped out of the CSTV/AVCA Top-25 poll but did receive 104 votes which would make them No. 26.
The Blue Raiders won the match 3-1 with Iowa State a year ago in Ames, Iowa. Middle Tennessee is currently ranked 15th in the AVCA poll after starting the season 3-0.
The Blue Raider Bash will continue on Saturday, Sept. 6 with the Blue Raiders playing Loyola-Marymount at 2:30 p.m.
All of Friday's matches will be video streamed on www.goblueraiders.com and the Blue Raiders' match on Saturday will also be video streamed on the website. Live stats will also be available throughout the tournament.
Admission to all Middle Tennessee volleyball matches is free.
