Cibils, Williams Win Singles Titles

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee's Ana Maria Cibils and Jacqui Williams both won in straight sets in singles in their respective brackets Sunday during the final day of the Middle Tennessee Fall Invitational at the Buck Bouldin Tennis Center.
Cibils defeated UT Martin's Saru Nortje, 6-1, 6-1, in Flight A, to win the flight. Cibils lost only one set in four matches.
In Flight D, Williams won her fourth consecutive straight-set match with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over UAB's Antonia Nugent.
The Flight B doubles final between teammates, Emily Vest and Cibils and Williams and Claudia Szabo, was not played.
The Lady Raiders return to action October 21-25 at the ITA Region III Championships in Winston-Salem, N.C. Full results from the Middle Tennessee Fall Invitational may be accessed at GoBlueRaiders.com.
