Blue Raiders Get Sun Belt Road Win over FIU

MIAMI, Fla. - Middle Tennessee volleyball (9-8, 4-1 SBC) opened its Sun Belt Conference road swing with a 3-1 (30-18, 30-20, 30-32, 30-14) victory over Florida International (1-14, 0-5 SBC) Sunday.

The Blue Raider's 9-8 record is the first time the team has had a winning record this season. Middle Tennessee is also enjoying a five-match winning streak and has won seven out of their last 10 matches.

Against Florida International, the Blue Raiders were led by senior outside hitter KeKe Deckard how led the match with 23 kills. She also recorded a .318 attack percentage.

Sophomore Andressa Lyra notched her eighth double double of the season with 10 kills and 19 digs. Senior Dara McLean, the third component of the Blue Raider triple threat, added 18 kills.

Middle Tennessee will face future Sun Belt Conference member Florida Atlantic on Monday. Match time is set for 3 p.m.
