Durham named SBC Golfer of the Month

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee freshman golfer Taryn Durham was voted the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Month for September. Through rounds of Oct. 6, the Glasgow, Kent., native led the SBC in stroke average at 74.0.

In two September tournaments, Durham recorded two Top 10 performances in her first-ever collegiate events. At the Unlimited Potential/Baytree Classic she posted the lowest 54-hole score in school history with a 218 to finish fourth overall. Also in the event, Durham posted a school-record tying round of 69 on the final day.

At the Alabama/Ann Rhoads Intercollegiate, Durham tied for 10th overall with a 36-hole total of 152.

To date, Durham has played in all three tournaments this fall and leads the Lady Raiders with a cumulative stroke average of 76.0.
