Blue Raiders have perfect day to close tourney

Chemin, Coffey finish tournament with wins

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee rounded out play at the UT-Chattanooga Steve Baras Fall Classic with three wins.

Senior Marlene Chemin and freshman Taylor Coffey won their singles matches and then teamed up to win the final doubles match for the Blue Raiders.

Chemin defeated Sara Anic of Lee University 6-0, 6-3 while Coffey defeated Memphis' Dara Toulch 4-6, 6-1, 6-0.

The duo then defeated Jemma Euers and Faure of Eastern Kentucky 8-5 to complete play in the tournament.

Middle Tennessee will be back in action on Oct. 10-12 when it travels to Jacksonville, Fla., to compete in the North Florida Invitational.
