Lady Raiders in 5th at John Kirk

STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. - The Middle Tennessee women's golf team fired a 310 on Monday to stand in fifth place at the 11-team John Kirk/Lady Panther Intercollegiate. Freshman Taryn Durham is tied for seventh in the 36-hole event that is being played at the par 72 Eagles Landing Country Club.

Host Georgia State leads the event after shooting a tournament record 294, while Campbell is in second at 301. UAB is third with a 302 followed by Yale in fourth with a 305.

Head Coach Rachael Short fielded a fivesome that consisted of a senior, two sophomores and two freshmen.

Finishing behind Durham was senior Kristin Lynch (Tullahoma, Tenn.) who carded a 77 to tie for 18th overall. Jenny Kim, playing in her first fall tournament of the year, registered a 78 to tie for 27th.

Sophomore Maggie McGill turned in an 80 on day one to tie for 39th, while freshman Jamey Dillard completed the scoring with an 82.

The Lady Raiders will play the final round on Tuesday beginning at 7:22 AM CST. This will mark the final round of the fall season for Middle Tennessee.
