MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee continued play at the June Stewart Invitational hosted by Vanderbilt University on Saturday.

Junior Natalie Araya fell to Ragini Acharya of William and Mary 6-0, 6-1 in consolation play of the Jason Valentine Metamaterials draw.

Freshman Marietta Bigus defeated Amanda Moccia of Western Michigan 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 in the consolation side of the Tom Black Invitational draw. Bigus will play at 12 p.m. on Sunday in the consolation finals against Keilly Ulery of host Vanderbilt.

In the Travis Young draw, freshman Taylor Coffey lost her match 6-3, 6-2 to Indiana's Sigrid Fischer. Coffey will play Denny of Western Michigan at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Senior Andrea Herrera fell to Ashley Moccia of Western Michigan 6-3, 6-4 in the Gary Neal draw. Herrera will play Matsuto of Western Michigan at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.

In the Edward Collins Invitational draw, senior Marlene Chemin fell to Nalepa of Western Michigan 3-6, 6-2, 7-5 in the consolation round. Chemin will play Dudzik of Western Michigan at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.

In the Saturday mix and matches, freshman Alex Dachos defeated Ernestine Koornhof of UTM 6-3, 6-2. Dachos will play Julianne McMeen of UT-Martin at 12 p.m. on Sunday.

Junior Djananova defeated McMeen 6-0, 6-1 on Saturday in the mix and matches. Djananova will play Belisa DeBrito of UTM at 12 p.m. on Sunday.

In doubles action, Coffey and Araya won their match 8-2 over William and Mary's Klaudyna Kasztelaniec and Lauren Sabacinski.

Dachos and Bigus paired up to defeat Ernestine Koornhof and Martie Wahl of UTM 8-5. In their second match of the day the duo lost to Moccia and Kerr of Western Michigan 8-2.

Chemin and Djananova made it a perfect day for the Blue Raiders in doubles as they won their match 8-2 over UTM's Sara Leavy and Belisa DeBrito.
