TROY, Ala. - Freshman Stacy Oladinni notched the final point for the Blue Raiders in a 3-0 (25-15, 25-15, 25-21) win over Troy on Friday night.

Senior Ashley Asberry and sophomore Izabela Kozon each had 10 kills in the match to lead Middle Tennessee (20-4, 10-2 SBC) who has won 10 of its last 11 matches.

Asberry posted a .533 hitting percentage as the Blue Raiders had 40 kills on the night hitting .392. Oladinni ended the match with seven kills for a .778 attack percentage.

Leading the defense was junior Ashley Waugh who had 14 digs on the night while junior Leslie Clark led the offense with her 32 assists.

The Blue Raiders held Troy to a .117 attack percentage with 32 kills as Meghan Gilroy led the team with 18 kills for a .400 attack percentage.

Middle Tennessee trailed early in the first set 4-1 but rebounded quickly taking control at the halfway mark, 16-8. Asberry handed the first set to the Blue Raiders with her second straight kill.

The Blue Raiders cruised to the win in the second set taking a 17-11 lead and never looking back.

After two sets, Asberry led the team at the net with eight kills for a .636 attack percentage while Kozon, Oladinni and Yancey each had five kills.

The Blue Raiders had an attack percentage of .438 with 28 kills as a team and 24 digs. Waugh led the defense with 11 digs.

In the third set, Troy kept it closer trailing by just five to begin play, 10-5 but the Blue Raiders continued to pull ahead. The Trojans closed the gap to three-points but Middle Tennessee kept the pace.

The Blue Raiders will be back in action on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. when it faces South Alabama in Mobile, Ala.
