November 16, 2004 · MT Media Relations
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee head baseball coach Steve Peterson announced the signing of Brett Reilley to a national letter-of-intent, the sixth signee for the Blue Raiders during the NCAA's early signing period.

Reilley, a righthander from Fort Wayne, Ind., will be a sophomore at Olney Central Junior College in Olney, Ill. Reilley pitched at Triton Junior College last season in Chicago, Ill., compiling a 6-1 record with a 2.08 ERA, three saves and 59 strikeouts in 57 innings pitched.

"Brett has a great upside. He's a big, strong kid and should be able to help our program immediately out of junior college," Peterson said. "We will look for him to be a starter in 2006."

Reilley joins Brett Smalley (Hixson, TN), Myles Ervin (Chattanooga, TN), Brandon Brokaw (St. Peters, MO), Allan Woodward (Columbia, MO) and Dillon Heath (Nashville, TN) in the 2006 recruiting class for Middle Tennessee.
