Asberry, Clark receive All-America honors
Duo two of just four Sun Belt players awarded
December 17, 2008 · MT Athletic CommunicationsSenior Ashley Asberry and junior Leslie Clark have been named Honorable Mention All-Americans as announced by the AVCA.

This is the second All-America honor for Asberry, who also received the award in 2007. Clark receives her first All-America award after setting the career assists record in 2008.
Just three other student-athletes in the Sun Belt received the award as Megan Argabright and Julia Noe (Western Kentucky) and Yarimar Rosa (Florida International)also received an honorable mention.
The pair led the Blue Raiders in a number of categories during the 2008 season in addition to setting career records and Asberry was named to the Sun Belt All-Tournament team.
The Blue Raiders ended the 2008 season 27-8 and 14-3 in the Sun Belt. Middle Tennessee advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive year after receiving an at-large bid.
