Defour Sets Personal Best in High Jump
January 22, 2005 · MT Media RelationsDefour was competing in just his second meet as a Blue Raider after transferring from Western Washington University. His mark in the high jump was also the best by a Middle Tennessee performer this season.
Middle Tennessee picked up its second first place performance when junior Linnie Yarbrough clocked in a time of 7.36 in the 55m hurdles. The time was a season-best for the East St. Louis, Illinois native.
A third first place finish came for Middle Tennessee when Laetitia Florimond won the women's shot put with a toss of 45.01. The mark was a season-best for Florimond.
In the women's 55m dash, Lady Raider Tiffany Owens placed third with a time of 7.26. Middle Tennessee placed second and third in the 400m dash, as Kerry Barrow was second with a time of 57.34 and Antranette Stringer placed third at 57.77.
Middle Tennessee returns to action on January 28-29 when the team competes in the Indiana Invitational in Bloomington, Ind.
