Richard won his singles match 6-1, 6-1 over Danny Lee of Florida Gulf Coast. The Paris, France native then teamed up with sophomore Richard Cowden to post an 8-5 win over Jacksonville's Francisco Riveroll and Victor Vaz.

Cowden posted two wins in singles action defeating Raphael Costa of FGC 6-1, 6-1 and Jimmy Esteban of JU 6-2, 6-1. Junior Alex McCann won his two singles matches defeating Vinny Craveiro of JU 6-2, 2-6, 6-1 and FGC's Steve Binninger 6-4, 6-0.

Newcomers Robert McKenzie, Victor Melo and Matthew Langley each posted wins in their first matches in Blue Raider uniforms.

Rounding out play for the Blue Raiders was sophomore Kyle Wishing who fell to Marc Misanovic of UNF 7-5, 6-2. Wishing rebounded in his next match defeating Craveiro 6-1, 6-2.

Langley and Melo teamed up in doubles action to defeat Esteban and Jordi Ballester of JU 8-2. McCann and Wishing lost their match 8-5 to Binninger and Lee of FGC.

Middle Tennessee will be back in action on Saturday, Jan. 10 in the second day of play at the UNF Spring Invitational. Results from the tournament will be posted on www.goblueraiders.com as soon as they become available.
