NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee women's tennis (3-4) fell 7-0 to 6th ranked Vanderbilt (8-1) Tuesday at the Currey Center.

Earlier in the day, the Lady Raider tandem of Jennifer Klaschka and Ann-Kristin Siljestrom received a ranking of 45 in the latest ITA poll. The doubles team had Vanderbilt's Annie Menees and Audra Falk, ranked 33rd, down 4-1, but the Dores roared back to take No. 1 doubles 8-4. Vanderbilt swept the doubles to take a 1-0 lead into singles play.

Vanderbilt made quick work of Middle Tennessee. The top-ranked Dores proved why they had knocked off six ranked teams in eight matches, prior to the team's meeting with the Lady Raiders.

Siljestrom dropped her first match of the season, as the Stockholm, Sweden native fell at No. 4 doubles. She lost to Amanda Taylor 6-0, 6-2.

The Lady Raiders will play their third consecutive ranked opponent when the team travels to Huntington, Virginia to take on No. 63 Marshall on Friday. Match time is set for 4 p.m. Central.
