Blue Raiders fall to FAU 5-2

Araya, Coffey post wins

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Middle Tennessee lost its first match of the weekend 5-2 to Florida Atlantic on Friday.

FAU took the doubles point to begin the match winning 2 of 3. Junior Anna Djananova and freshman Alex Dachos won their doubles match 9-7.

Junior Natalie Araya started things off for Middle Tennessee as she won her doubles match Virginia Augustin 6-2, 6-0.

Then freshman Taylor Coffey won her match 7-5, 6-0 over Emma Rossiter.

The Owls took the match over from there winning the next four matches to take the win.

Middle Tennessee will be back in action at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 7 when it plays Florida International in Miami, Fla.
