Blue Raiders fall to FIU 7-0

MIAMI - Middle Tennessee fell to Florida International 7-0 on Sunday in its second match of the weekend.

FIU swept the doubles point to begin the match and never looked back as it cruised to the win.

Freshman Marietta Bigus lost to No. 124 Liset Brito 6-1, 6-2 and senior Andrea Herrera lost her match 6-2, 6-4 to No. 120 Mariana Muci in the two toughest singles positions of the match.

Senior Natalie Araya had the closest match as she lost 6-2, 7-6 (3) to Maria Pazo.

Middle Tennessee will be back in action on Monday, March 9 when it faces Lynn University in Boca Raton, Fla.
