Blue Raiders fall to Lynn

Will play host to South Alabama on Saturday

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Middle Tennessee fell to Lynn University 8-1 on Monday.

The Blue Raiders lost all three doubles matches to begin the match giving Lynn a 2-0 lead.

Then Lynn kept control as it won all but one of the singles matches. Junior Natalie Araya defeated No. 6 Eleonora Iannozzi 7-5, 6-1

Freshman Marietta Bigus lost her match 6-2, 6-3 to No. 43 Katerina Jiskrova while senior Andrea Herrera fell 6-1, 7-6 to No. 30 Magdalena Ekert.

Also facing ranked competition were junior Anna Djananova and senior Marlene Chemin. Djananova fell to No. 16 Jessica Yanoff 6-2, 6-2 while Chemin lost the only three-set match 6-4, 5-7, 1-0 (10-8) to No. 12 Alisson Siaci in a super tiebreaker.

The Blue Raiders will be back in action on Saturday, March 14 at 1 p.m. when they play host to South Alabama at the Buck Bouldin Tennis Center. Admission to all home tennis matches is free.
