Middle Tennessee Volleyball drops Sun Belt Opener to FIU
September 22, 2001 · MT Media RelationsThe Lady Raiders were lead by sophomore Karisse Baker who had 13 kills and three blocks assists, both career highs, on 29 attacks. Sophomore Caia Morstad came off the bench to give Middle Tennessee a boost and tied her career high service aces with two. All Sun Belt conference player Nirvana Koss who had 28 kills and 20 digs and 58 attacks and also had three service aces led Florida International.
Middle Tennessee falls to 4-6 overall and 0-1 in the Sun Belt while FIU improves to 4-3 overall and 1-1 in the Sun Belt. The Lady Raiders will complete their swing in Miami by playing the University of Miami on Sunday at 11 a.m.
