Hurricanes Blow Lady Raiders Off Course

Miami, FL - Middle Tennessee Lady Raider volleyball lost to the University of Miami in three games Sunday morning (30-14, 30-16 & 30-23) to fall to 4-7 on the 2001 season.
Middle Tennessee had more attacks than Miami in all three games but the Hurricanes were more efficient. Miami had 46 kills (.368) to MTSU's 27 (.096) for the match. For Middle Tennessee, freshman outside hitter Shakeithia Deckard (Nacogdoches, TX) had eight kills (.167) and junior outside hitter Erin Hillstrom contributed seven (.120). Sophomore outside hitter Caia Morstad had a team-high 10 digs.
Middle Tennessee will be back in action on Monday when the team hosts the University of Arkansas at 6 p.m. in Murphy Center.
