The Blue Raider Athletic Association wants to update the Middle Tennessee family on its current membership drive which is one-fourth of the way complete for 2009. The group is off to a good start and they are pleased with the excellent turnout from Tuesday's first Reporting Session. (Please remember, there will be a drawing for a special gift for an individual who attends all the required Reporting Sessions.)
At the quarter-mile mark of the "New Revenue" race, John Dietrich's Team has moved into the lead ahead of Steve Rowan's team while Liz Rhea's team is very close in third (only $153 separates the three teams). Team Godfather, led by Bent Campbell, is hanging back to make a late run.
Several of our other teams are coming out of the gate and looking to make a strong run at the half way mark. Last year's winner, Lynn Womack's team, is sitting back and is developing a strategy for a late race finish.
On the "Renewal Race", the Liz Rhea team is off to a strong lead with Steve Rowan and Ben Bennett's teams a close second and third. There are strong feelings in the BRAA camp that Jim Thompson's team will be making a strong showing before time runs out.
There are several competitors (jockey's) that have a good jump toward qualifying to win an HD flat screen television so stay tuned for the updates on the winners of this great prize.
The next post time (Reporting Session) is slated for 6:00 pm on April 7th at the Kennon Sports Hall of Fame.
