The Blue Raiders (6-18, 1-5 Sun Belt) are looking to move up the conference standings with a quarter of the schedule already played after dropping two of three games against South Alabama last weekend.
"We are looking to have success and continue the momentum from our last Sun Belt game, a win against South Alabama," said Head Coach Sue Nevar. "The team knows how important this weekend against Louisiana-Monroe is for us. We expect a competitive three contests."
Middle Tennessee concludes play against the Warhawks on Sunday afternoon before traveling south to face off against #20 Louisiana-Lafayette in a three-game series opening on Tuesday at the Ragin Cajuns Softball Park.
"Louisiana-Lafayette is not unbeaten in conference play as they usually are at this time of year," said Nevar. "There is so much parity this season and that definitely factors into why these games are so critical for us."
