ATLANTA, Ga. - The Blue Raider track teams were unable to compete this weekend at the Yellow Jacket Invitational do to inclement weather.
Early Saturday morning, Georgia Tech officials declared the meet suspended in hopes rain would pass and allow for competition. Unfortunately, the rain persisted and the meet was official cancelled at 11:50 a.m. EST.
Junior Brittany Cox was able to compete Friday night in the hammer throw. She had no recorded throws. Cox was the only Middle Tennessee athlete to compete.
The Blue Raiders will return to the track next Friday and Saturday as the teams travel to Auburn, Ala. for the Auburn Invitational hosted by Auburn University. Full results and coverage will be available on auburntigers.cstv.com and goblueraiders.com.
