MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee junior forward Alysha Clark earned her second All-American honor of the campaign when she was recognized on the Associated Press Third Team it was announced Tuesday.
Clark, a Mt. Juliet, Tenn., native, garnered Second Team All-American accolades from CBSSports.com this season.
Her AP honor is the third in as many years for a Blue Raider player, following Chrissy Givens' Second Team in 2006-07 and Amber Holt's Third Team in 2007-08.
Clark helped lead the Lady Raiders to a 28-6 record and appearance in the NCAA Tournament for the 12th time in program history. She finished with 27.5 ppg, which surely will finish as the top mark nationally as the tournament heads down the stretch with only five games left.
