MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee Head Football Coach Rick Stockstill canceled Friday's scheduled practice due to the devastating tornadoes that hit Rutherford County Friday afternoon.

"Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in Rutherford County and the mid-state area during this difficult time," said Stockstill. "There are a lot more important things in life than football and we felt it was not appropriate to be on the field today. We have a number of kids from Tennessee and they need to be with their families at this time."

The Blue Raiders will return to the practice field on Monday.
