Track Completes First Outdoor Meet at Alabama Relays

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Middle Tennessee track picked up a couple of top-five finishes in the final day of the Alabama Relays Sunday.

Freshman Alex Pruitt was the highlight of the day in the high jump. In his first leap outdoors, Pruitt notched a mark of 6-06.75 to finish fourth.

In the weight throw, James Thomas launched a heave of 160-07. His mark was good for a fifth place finish for the Blue Raiders.

The relay events were good for the Lady Raiders. In the shuttle hurdle relay, Middle Tennessee ran a 58.17 for third place. The 4x100 team clocked in a time of 45.91 for fifth place.

Overall, the Blue Raider squad racked up nine points in the scored portion of the meet to finish eighth. On the women's side, the Lady Raiders had 10 points and finished 11th.
