COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Scarlet Course at Ohio State University was the big winner at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate as no player broke even on the par-71 course on a day when the temperature was cold and the winds were gusting.

Middle Tennessee battled to an eighth-place standing amongst the 13-team field with a 46-over 614 through two rounds. Northwestern leads with a 29-over 597 entering the final round, followed by East Tennessee (598) and Kent State (599).

Though the Blue Raiders are hundreds of miles away from home the players' minds were not fixated on the course in the aftermath of devastating storm damage throughout the Murfreesboro area Friday.

"We came here to get a test for (NCAA) Regional and that's what we got - long, hard course, windy, cold - it was a strong test of golf," Middle Tennessee Head Coach Whit Turnbow said. "Regardless of how difficult it is it is not nearly as difficult as the people at home are dealing with. We are keeping them in our thoughts and prayers when we are here."

Murfreesboro native Jason Millard led Middle Tennessee with a 9-over 151, which tied for 18th through two rounds. Millard and Chas Narramore tied for the Blue Raiders' low round of the day with each posting a 4-over 75 in their second round.

Narramore is tied for 22nd at 10-over 152, followed by Kent Bulle (T43, 158), Rick Cochran (T51, 159) and Craig Smith (T63, 161). The Blue Raiders will conclude the Kepler Intercollegiate with Sunday's final round before turning their attention to the SBC Championships in Houston April 20-22.
