MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The BRAA new membership drive recently had its first team member reach a huge milestone. Bob Farris, who is on Liz Rhea's team, became the first person to reach the $5,000 level for new money.
"I have a strong allegiance to support the University," said Farris. "As a tax accountant I talk to a lot of people and fortunately they have been very receptive and realize the importance of creating opportunities for our student-athletes. My daughter and her husband are graduates as well and I have them renewing, so I don't plan on stopping anytime soon."
Farris, a retired accountant and 1955 graduate of Middle Tennessee, now qualifies to receive a new flat screen television that will be presented to him at the annual Appreciation Dinner this summer.
"The campaign is moving forward and we see a sense of excitement," added Alan Farley. "To have someone already qualify for a television just two weeks into the campaign is incredible. I hope we can have many more individuals reach the same goal and I want to personally encourage all our members to make that extra call or extra visit."
The campaign runs until May 6. If you have any questions, please contact the BRAA office at 615-898-2210.
