BATON ROUGE, La. - Middle Tennessee men's golf finished tied for sixth place at the fifth-annual LSU Spring Invitational Sunday at the 72-par University Club. The Blue Raiders shot a 295 in the final round of action in the 17-team tournament for a three-day total of 893. The mark equaled the team's best mark, which they shot in the first day of action.
Middle Tennessee also had two players, in Josh Nelms and Kenny Green, improve their standings individually. Nelms and Green each improved five spots, finishing 22nd, after being tied for 27th after two rounds of action, as both finished the tournament with a 223.
The Blue Raiders next action will be at the Sun Belt Championships at Port St. Lucie, Florida. The tournament is scheduled to run from April 18-20 at the PGA Golf Village.
