Middle Tennessee Volleyball Drops match to Arkansas
September 24, 2001 · MT Media RelationsBoth teams were coming off tough road games this weekend as Middle Tennessee took a swing through Miami, FL and Arkansas played at Kentucky and the University of Tennessee. In the first game, both teams were flat with both teams hitting under .150.
Arkansas picked up their attack percentage in the second and third game with .400 in the second and .353 in the third. Middle Tennessee stayed below .200 with .180 in the second game and .108 in the third game.
Middle Tennessee was led by freshman Shakeithia Deckard and Katie Thiesen who had 11 and 10 kills respectively. As a team, the Lady Raiders had 10 blocks with Thiesen and Jennifer Hignite sharing three block assists apiece.
The Lady Raiders fall to 4-8 overall and the Lady Razorbacks improve to 4-5 overall. Middle Tennessee will be back in action on Friday Sept. 28 when they host Sun Belt Conference opponent Louisiana-Lafayette.
