NEW ORLEANS - Middle Tennessee junior midfielder Sarah Beth Lee has been honored by the Sun Belt Conference with the Female Sporting Behavior Award as announced at the annual spring meetings.
Lee holds a 4.0 grade-point average in history and currently serves as both a captain on the soccer team and vice president of the Middle Tennessee Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
The Waynesville, N.C., native is no stranger to awards, having received the Blue Raider Award and being named three times to the Sun Belt Conference's Commissioner's List.
Lee has been selected to attend the NCAA Leadership Conference later this month and has previously been honored with the Drs. David and Lorraine Singer Scholarship and the Ernest Hooper Scholarship for history.
The midfielder has also been selected to the Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Alpha Theta National Honor Societies in addition to the Tennessee Beta Chapter of the National College Athlete Honor Society.
Lee is actively involved in volunteer activities both in her native North Carolina and abroad, having taken mission trips to both Bolivia and Mexico, and recently volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and the Salvation Army.
