FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Middle Tennessee's Sarah Nambawa placed 23rd in the long jump at the NCAA Outdoor Championships Wednesday.
Inclement weather delayed the first day of competition in Fayetteville by almost two hours. When events resumed at 10:15 PM, Nambawa jumped 18-8 (5.69m) ranking her 23rd overall. Her jump left her short of the necessary mark to qualify for Thursday's finals.
Nambawa will compete in her primary event, the triple jump, on Friday. Preliminary rounds begin Friday at 4:30 PM with final rounds on Saturday at 12 PM
Final daily results will be available on goblueraiders.com and ncaa.com.
