UNCASVILLE, Conn. - Former Middle Tennessee All-American Amber Holt netted eight points in her season debut Tuesday night on ESPN2 with the Connecticut Sun of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA).
Holt missed the Sun's opening 11 games with a hand injury but returned to action at home against the Los Angeles Sparks Tuesday and helped lead her team to an 82-71 victory. She finished 3-of-10 from the field, including 2-of-5 from 3-point territory for her eight points.
The Duluth, Ga., native added four assists and three rebounds as a starter at the forward position. She was tabbed to the WNBA All-Rookie Team last year.
The Sun will next hit the floor Friday at the San Antonio Silver Stars. Connecticut will make its final appearance of the regular season on ESPN2 June 28 at home versus the Phoenix Mercury.
