Greenville, SC - Middle Tennessee women's tennis player Manon Kruse knocked off No. 29 Julie Rotondi from North Carolina 7-6(8), 6-1 Saturday at the Furman Fall Classic.

Kruse's win makes her 6-0 in the fall, and she will play in the finals of the Flight One singles Sunday at 8 a.m. Kruse and doubles partner Stacy Varnell also stayed undefeated as the team defeated Megan Dunnigan and Natalie The of Furman 8-2.

"Manon played an extremely good game today," said Middle Tennessee head coach Randy Holden. "It was a great day for Middle Tennessee women's tennis."

The great day continued for the Lady Raiders because the team bounced back from tough losses. Verena Preiss, Carien Venter and Varnell will play for fifth and Emily Vest and Michaela Gridling will play for seventh.

"Everyone played well today," Holden said. "We are competing at one of the toughest tournaments in the country and I think we are making a great showing."
