Sitaram Named Academic All-District IV
May 26, 2005 · MT Media RelationsSitaram carries a 3.97 grade-point-average and is majoring in Economics and Mathematics. The Hyderabad, India, native also was a major contributor to Middle Tennessee's Sun Belt Championship tennis team this season, posting a 16-7 dual match record and 28-11 mark in singles this year. Sitaram also added 21 doubles victories with Greg Pollack this year.
He won all three singles matches and a pair of doubles tilts in helping the Blue Raiders to their first SBC Championship. Sitaram also had a three-set singles match against Auburn, and he and Pollack won their doubles tilt, in the Blue Raiders' 4-3 loss in the first round of the NCAA Team Championships.
Sitaram's name will now enter a pool for Academic All-America, to be announced in the coming weeks.
