Two Blue Raiders set to compete in UVA Tournament
Peers, Melo ready for weekend action

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee men's tennis team will compete at the second annual UVA Ranked Plus One Invitational hosted by the University of Virginia this weekend.
The UVA Ranked Plus One Invitational features a field of 31 ranked singles players from 17 different schools.
Blue Raider John Peers will be one of eight players competing in the tournament who played in the NCAA Singles Championship. Peers is currently ranked 58 in singles in the ITA poll.
Peers performed well last weekend at the Southern Intercollegiate Championships even though play was severely altered by inclement weather.
Victor Melo will also represent the Blue Raiders in the tournament. Melo and Peers, ranked 22 as a team in the ITA poll, will pair up for doubles action.
Play will begin on Friday, Sept. 25 at 10 a.m. Friday's schedule consists of one round of doubles followed by two rounds of singles.
Results will be posted on goblueraiders.com once play has completed at the end of each day.
