LAFAYETTE, La. - The Middle Tennessee women's tennis team competed in one doubles match on the final day of action at the UL Invitational in Lafayette, La., Sunday.
The Blue Raider duo of Carla Nava and Yuiri Nomoto squared off in the Flight B final against Northwestern State's Martina Rubesova and Andrea Nedorostova. Despite giving a strong effort, the MT newcomers fell, 8-6, for their first loss of the fall in six matches.
No Blue Raiders competed in singles action Sunday.
Middle Tennessee will continue its season Oct. 11-14 at the Cleveland Invitational in Cincinnati, Ohio. It will mark the first of two-straight tournaments the Blue Raiders will play in the Queen City.
