COLUMBIA, Mo. - Middle Tennessee opened play on Monday at the Johnie Imes Invitational and played 31 of the 36 holes scheduled. Only two of the 18 teams finished the first two rounds due to darkness.
The Blue Raiders shot a 320 in the first round to tie for 13th and were in 14th place through 13 holes of the second round at the Club at Old Hawthorne.
Morgan Hale is currently tied for 27th overall to lead the Blue Raiders after carding an 81 in the first round. Hale has just two holes left in her second round and is 2-over par with two birdies.
Freshmen Ashley Haggard and Olivia Love are both tied for 31st with Haggard recording a 77 in the morning round and Love getting a 78. Haggard has one hole remaining in round two and is 7-over par while Love is 6-over par with three holes to go.
Steph Gough is tied for 65th and Clara Leathers is tied for 75th. Both had an 84 in round one and Gough has four holes remaining and is 5-over par. Leathers is 8-over par with five holes to go in her second round.
Middle Tennessee will play the remainder of the second round and the final round on Tuesday.
