COLUMBIA, Mo. - Middle Tennessee completed its second tournament of the fall season with a 14th place showing at the Johnie Imes Invitational. The Blue Raiders had a 958 score for the 54-hole tournament that consisted of 18 teams.
Wisconsin won the event with a 909 total followed by Tulsa with a score of 912. Missouri, Mississippi, and Illinois State rounded out the top five.
For the second tournament in a row, freshman Olivia Love was the team's top finisher by coming in a tie for 33rd. Love shot 78 in all three rounds for a 224 total.
Fellow freshman Ashley Haggard was next for the Blue Raiders as she tied for 38th with a 235 score.
Morgan Hale, who was tied for 36th going into the final day, struggled with an 88 in the final round to tie for 71st. Hale had a 245.
Steph Gough tied for 73rd with a 247, while Clara Leathers tied for 87th with a 252.
The Blue Raiders will be back in action next week at the Mid-American Conference Preview in Fishers, Ind., on Oct. 12-13.
