Middle Tennessee Volleyball Falls to UT-Chattanooga in Five
October 2, 2001 · MT Media RelationsMiddle Tennessee battled and lost a touch of the service error bug as the team registered nine service errors in game one alone. Overall the Lady Raiders had 19 service errors for the match.
"Right now we aren't play our best volleyball," said head coach Lisa Kissee. "We gave this match away."
Freshman Shakeithia Deckard had a double double for the third time this season with 29 kills and 12 digs. Juniors Katie Thiesen and Erin Hillstrom also had a double double with 13 kills and 11 digs and 11 kills and 22 digs respectively.
Also of note, was the play of Karisse Baker how had a career high in block assists with six. She broke her previous high of five, which she recorded against Western Kentucky on September 29.
Middle Tennessee falls to 5-10 overall. The Lady Raiders will be back in action on Friday when they host Sun Belt Conference foe Arkansas State at 7 p.m. in the Murphy Center.
