MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - For the second straight week and the third time this season, Middle Tennessee's Dwight Dasher was named the Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Dasher sparked the second half scoring surge against Louisiana on Saturday, highlighting the afternoon by setting the single-season total offense school record after accumulating 308 yards. Dasher now has 3,040 yards through 10 games, 178 yards past the previous mark set by Clint Marks in 2004.

Dasher completed the game by hitting 16-of-25 passes for 219 yards and two touchdowns, his seventh 200-yard game of the season and ninth of his career.

On the first play from scrimmage in the second half, Dasher bolted for 46 yards before finding a wide-open receiver on the next play for a 19-yard touchdown pass. By throwing for two scores, Dasher increased his season tally to 15, six shy of the single-season school standard.

He also gained 89 yards on the ground, averaging 5.2 per rush. Dasher also improved to 11-4 as the starting quarterback and set a junior class passing record with 2,248 yards.

The Blue Raiders have now picked up eight player of the week honors this season and 60 all-time (21 offense, 19 defense, 21 special teams). Under Rick Stockstill, the Blue Raiders have now won 33 player of the week awards.
