Elliot Barnwell, a 6-3 left-handed player from Warwickshire, England, has inked with the Blue Raiders and will join the team for the 2010-11 season.
"I am very excited Elliot has signed an NLI to play for us next season. I look forward to his arrival next fall as he came very well recommended and is highly qualified," McNamara said. "He will come in and help our depth with the hope he progresses to a top-ranked national player in the years to come."
Barnwell advanced to the semifinals of the Orange Bowl, which is the most notable junior tournament out side of the Grand Slam. Last season, he received a scholarship to attend the Bollettieri Tennis Academy in Bradenton, Fla.
The Blue Raiders will open the 2010 spring season in January after a very successful fall.
